On the Island

We're not talking about Spring Break destinations -- we're talking about kitchen islands.  There are so many other options beyond your standard built-in.  Not to mention, the alternative (we've laid out some ideas for you below) adds a little character and personalization...

To start -- we love the idea of adding casters to the metal postal table below to the left...

We were honored when Kitchen Improved told us we had been included in their Best of the Web section on their site (see our shiny new badge?!).  In light of that, and because we'll forever swoon over a beautiful kitchen, here are a handful of favorites:
