WE HEART A SALE

February is the month of love and we certainly heart a lot of things around here at SOM; long lazy Sundays, award season (for the fashion of course), surfing pinterest, HOLEMAN & FINCH pretzel rolls, a reason to toast, our subscription to cote sud, discovering a new design blog, INA GARTEN's cocunut macaroons, ADELE- 21, receiving an unexpected letter in the mail, BM SEA PEARL #961, wandering the streets of the Paris flea market, COS, pretty packages, TRADER JOE'S everything pretzel slims, but what we really HEART is a GOOD SALE!!

MUTED HUES

We always love to employ neutral colors because of their versatility, because when it comes to revamping a neutral space, a complete overhaul isn't usually required. We generally don't show the love, however, for these muted tones in and of themselves -- and what natural, effortless beauty they have to offer! THE HOTEL EXCHANGE

All eyes on... the Hotel Exchange in Amsterdam. It has taken our breath away. Literally -- we have nothing to say except that you must check out their website and see for yourselves. The rooms are so imaginative and whimsical, as you can see from the few pics we pulled to include below. We'd like to make reservations, please!

CROSS OUR HEARTS

You probably noticed we have been having a bit of a red / black / grey fetish, so you can imagine how we were swooning over these spaces. We l-o-v-e the red cross painted on the wall! It has made us look at simple shapes (and primary colors) in a different light. Crosses and O's happen to look great together, too (check out the children's room featured in AH&L's spread on our Alys Beach project).
